About the event
The Darien Plein Air Invitational is an annual celebration of art and community, culminating in a reception at the 170 Noroton Ave, Darien, CT on September 20th, 2026. Over the course of a week, Mariner Gallery's artists will arrive to create works that capture the essence of Darien’s landscapes, drawing inspiration from its coastal beauty and historic charm.
This special event invites patrons and guests to gather and witness these unique works while connecting with the artists who brought them to life. The reception will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, offering the opportunity to experience the and mingle with fellow art enthusiasts. Light Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.
Transportation will be provided by boat from the Rowayton Public Dock, or guests may arrive via their own boats. Join us for an afternoon of creativity, community, and maritime history.
