P. Andre Arguimbau and his father, Peter, founded the Mariner Gallery in 2015 after purchasing the 1767 home of Stephen DuBois which they transformeed into the primary location for the gallery. Andre led a led a two-year refit, restoring the once captain’s home to colonial design before building a lower deck of solid oak modeled after the USS Constellation, the second warship built for the U.S. Navy. The USS Constellation Room will also serve as home to the Maritime League of the Arts.
Andre is an executive recruiter, licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain, Emergency Medical Technician, Wilderness First Responder, diver, carpenter and marathoner. He is an active sailor who also enjoys motorcycle touring and spending time with his sister Terra, and Kiko, their yellow lab. Andre is a graduate of Loomis Chaffee and College of Charleston.
